We've been busy with nothing really new, but we're finally updating the site again!
Brad's been busy studying for comps, which are coming up, starting
towards the end of March. Fun! It will be nice to have them
behind him, though. :) Hopefully the last real tests he'll ever
have to take!
Stacie's been busy at school... as usual. Her kids are great and
progressing well. A lot of the "other" stuff that goes along with
the job has been difficult lately, but she's putting up with it!
We had a great trip to NY over the holidays and got to see a lot of
family and friends. As always, there wasn't enough time to see
everyone and we really hope to be able to see more people soon!
Come visit us anytime!!
Here in Georgia, there's not much new... though we did take up golf.
Not the kind that would make Dennis and the Sanford's proud...
it's "hippie golf" AKA disc golf AKA frisbee golf!! A great
excuse to walk around the park throwing stuff at other stuff! :)
That's been fun and has given us a chance to enjoy the nice
"spring" weather in GA. (Are you northerners jealous??)
The animals are all good and entertaining as usual. We'll be
posting some pictures with this update... check out the photo album.
Enjoy the updates, and we look forward to emails or phone calls soon!
Love, Brad and Stacie

So, only 2 months between updates!! Is there anyone who still checks for updates?
Well, just in case -
Things are going well for us. Since we last wrote, we've been
continuing to be very busy with work (big surprise there). Brad had a
committee meeting that went fairly well and has been working since on
some of their suggestions. Things are basically the same for Stacie at
work. Though she was awarded "Leader of the Pack" for October
(basically teacher of the year, chosen by the PTO.) Pretty cool!
On the non-work front, we had a fun halloween party (we'll post
pictures soon) and Stacie had a great birthday week! Her idea of
celebrating a birthday all week still happens each year for both of us
and this year it ended up getting stretched to 8 days - lucky her!! We
went to Savannah as her big present and got to see Coastal Carolina
beat Savannah State at football. Yey, Chants! The Blythes Sr. joined us
for that and we had a great time!
Our Thanksgiving was also great. We hope you all had a great
Thanksgiving too. Wednesday night, we were invited to join Jack and
Delores at their new house (which is beautiful!) for a true Southern-style
meal and it was fantastic! Then Thursday, we cooked a great meal for
ourselves, using old family recipes and new creations of our own. It
was really great and we had a really fun day. After the weekend, we're
certainly heavier, but happy too! :)
Now it's back to the real world of work for a couple of weeks before
Christmas vacation. We can't wait to see all of you New Yorkers, and we
should have some vacation time left over in GA for anyone who wants to
come visit! As always, the invitation is open!!
Well, we hope you're all well. Send us an email if you're still looking
at this! Maybe it will inspire us to keep it more updated!

Well, after some
"technical difficulties", we're able to update the site again! I doubt
anyone is still even checking this page! Just in case there are,
though, we'll keep writing!
Well, things are going
well here. I'm well into the swing of school now, we're almost at the
end of the 1st marking period, just as schools up north are finishing
their first month! My students this year are cool. I have practically a
whole new group, since we opened a new school and shifted our
attendance zones. Of my 28 students, only 2 of them are students I had
last year! I still have some Hmong students, but this year I have many
more Hispanic students too. That's fun for me - new cultures to share!
Brad is working hard
in the new lab. He's been fighting with a computer program to analyze
the data that he has processed so far. Almost done with that!! There
are still more samples to run, so more data to analyze, but it's nice
to be able to have at least part of the computer work DONE.
We are beyond excited
for our vacation to Jamaica. Only a couple more weeks! I get the first
week of October off of school, so we're heading back to Couples with
Mike and Jenn (our friends that we met there last year). The serious
countdown is on!
The animals are all
doing well. We're working on getting Abby's page together so you can
see more pictures of the newest addition to our family. She's very cute
and a lot of fun, as well as a lot more work than the cats! :) She's
getting strong enough now to go on long walks and short jogs, so that's
been fun (and it's great to get her tired out!)
We hope you're all
well and we look forward to hearing from you soon. The offer stands
open for anyone who would like to come visit! We'd love to have you!!

Ok, so we're bad at this. No real excuses, we're just bad at this! :)
So, an update. This are
going well. Stacie just started her 3rd week of school this week. We do
start early in the south!! The new students seem very sweet so far and
things are slowly coming together (though MUCH faster than last year).
Brad is working in the lab, now that most things are finally moved. He
just finished doing a Second Stage show with the local theater that he
has worked with before. They did "Shakespeare's" The Taming of the Shrew Dude! It was an interesting take on the original and they did a great job. 2 out of 3 performances were to a full house!
The biggest current news
- WE GOT A PUPPY!!! (which means we haven't slept much!) Her name is
Abigail "Abby" and she is very cute. Quite a handful right now, but
that just comes with having a puppy. We'll have pictures posted soon.
Not much else going on
right now. We'll be updating the photo pages soon, and we'll update
this page again then. We hope you're all well!
Monday, May 23rd
Finally another update!
We've been busy working on the new place, finishing the school year (me), and getting ready for the cruise (Brad).
The house is slowly coming together. We're ready for guests, though! Come on down (or up or over...), we love hosting visitors!
We found a use for the
3rd bedroom - home gym!! We found a great set and got it all set up.
Brad got to use it a few times before he left, but it'll be waiting for
him when he gets back. Hopefully I'll have it well broken in by then,
as long as I can get/stay motivated!
My last day with students
for the year was this past Friday. Hopefully my days will become less
crazy now! It seems like I haven't been able to keep up lately! After
this Thursday, I'm totally done with the school year and will just have
a few conferences and things over the summer. I have lots of plans and
projects for the summer as well as the hope for some rest and
relaxation!
Soon after Brad gets
back, we'll be heading north to NY for Susan and Andy's wedding. We'll
be able to visit with friends and family too. We're also very excited
about our "new" furniture that we'll be getting from Brad's parents
since they're moving to FL soon. We're most exited for the great bar
that Brad's grandfather built. It's beautiful and so special. We're
really honored to be able to have it in our home (soon).
Well, I guess that's enough for now. I hope you all are well. Be sure to check out the cruise update site here to see what Brad's up to on the boat.
Love, Stacie

Hey! We're back online!! We're glad you found the new site.
A lot has happened since our last update - the biggest being that we
have moved! We're still in Athens, but we're in a much bigger place -
it has 3 bedrooms, 2.5 bedrooms, a basement (way more room than we know
what to do with!)... and washer and dryer hook-ups! If you've heard
about Stacie's longing for a washer and dryer, than you can definitely
understand why we're BOTH happy about that. Stacie finally has a washer
and dryer and Brad doesn't have to listen to her whine!! It really is a
great place - we'll post pictures soon!
We'll post an update again soon. And we'll keep working on the site! Check back soon!
